Royal Enfield Himalayan FI Version Launched.
The company has started pre-bookings for the updated BS-IV variant of the motorcycle now priced at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer, Royal Enfield, has relaunched the Himalayan adventure tourer motorcycle in India. The Royal Enfield Himalayan was discontinued a while back as it did not comply with the new BS-IV emission norms. The updated bike sports a price tag of Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 5,000 heftier than the previous version. The booking amount for the new motorcycle has been set at Rs 5,000 and the Himalayan already has a waiting period of 2 to 3 months. It is available in the two paint schemes - Granite and Snow
Initially, the Himalayan had left a very positive experience among customers and journalist alike. However, the bike owners soon started facing major issues related to the quality and performance of the motorcycle. A couple of months ago, Royal Enfield suspended the sales of the adventure tourer as it did not comply with the strict BS-IV norms implemented by the government in April. The addition of a fuel-injection system has now made it BS-IV compliant and we can only hope that Royal Enfield has rectified all the issues that plagued the older version.
